Last reviewed: August 2026
1. Who we are
AIN Enterprise Ltd (company number 17394235) is a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For this website and direct business enquiries, AIN Enterprise Ltd is the controller of personal information it decides how to use.
2. Information we collect
We may collect business contact details such as name, employer or company, email address and telephone number; shipment, freight and logistics information; correspondence; quotation or transaction information; and technical information needed for website security and administration. We ask users not to submit unnecessary sensitive personal data through website forms.
3. How information is collected
Information may be provided directly through our contact and quotation forms, by email or telephone, during a business relationship, or by a supplier, customer or professional contact acting for an organisation. Basic technical information may also be generated by our hosting and security systems when the website is used.
4. Why we use information and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Typical lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to enquiries and preparing quotations | Steps requested before entering a contract and/or legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries. |
| Managing agreed services and commercial relationships | Contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations as applicable. |
| Coordinating freight, customs or related logistics providers | Contract or steps before contract; legitimate interests in delivering the requested service. |
| Accounting, compliance, dispute and record keeping | Legal obligations and legitimate interests in maintaining appropriate business records. |
| Website security and fraud prevention | Legitimate interests in protecting our systems and business. |
| Optional analytics or marketing | Consent where consent is required by applicable privacy and electronic communications rules. |
5. Who we may share information with
Where reasonably necessary for an enquiry or service, relevant information may be shared with carriers, freight forwarders, haulage companies, customs agents, warehouses, overseas agents, inspection or compliance providers, insurers where requested, professional advisers, payment/accounting providers, IT and hosting providers, or public authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
6. International transfers
International freight enquiries can require information to be shared with organisations outside the UK. Where data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an appropriate lawful mechanism or rely on an applicable legal exception.
7. Website enquiries and Google Sheets
Website form submissions are stored privately in the WordPress administration area so that business enquiries are not lost if email delivery fails. We also send the submission to our business email. If the optional Google Sheets integration is enabled, a copy may be sent to a private Google spreadsheet used for enquiry management. The integration can be disabled in the website settings.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose collected, an ongoing commercial relationship, legal/accounting obligations, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Unsuccessful or inactive general enquiries will normally be reviewed for deletion after approximately 24 months unless there is a reason to retain them longer.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information, including controlled access to website administration and business systems. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law can provide rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, receive certain data in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
11. Marketing
We do not treat a freight enquiry as automatic consent to unrelated marketing. Any electronic direct marketing must be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection and privacy/electronic communications requirements.
12. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy. Optional analytics are not loaded by this theme unless a measurement ID is configured and the visitor accepts optional cookies.
13. Complaints and the ICO
Please contact us first at sales@ainenterprise.com if you have a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data protection rights have been infringed.
